Funeral
Today I was at a funeral for the first time in Malawi.
One of the previous DI's fell in love with a malawian woman and married her. They got twins not so long ago and one of the twins died last week. The father, called HP, is in Denmark so he just got to know about what happened and couldn't be at the funeral, but we videotaped it and took pictures.
I attended the funeral today and it was really sad and many people were there. I don't really know what to write... but it was really another reality if you compare to Sweden. The coffin was so small with the little boy inside. His face was really peaceful and I'm sure that his soul went to a better place.
I also helped to cover the coffin with earth when we got to the graveyard, it's a tradition in Malawi that all the men help with it, even if it's just a little bit.
I don't know what more to write...
